Final Call for Security Designers Forum 2026

With less than a month to go before the event opens in Istanbul, organisers are issuing a final call for delegates to register for the Security Designers Forum (SDF) 2026, taking place from 7–9 September. Following a successful inaugural edition in 2024, the forum returns as a dedicated platform for professionals involved in the design and development of banknotes, passports and other secure documents.

Organised by Reconnaissance and guided by an international programme committee from the industry, SDF brings together designers, issuers, engravers, technologists and production specialists to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of secure document design. The event recognises that design extends beyond aesthetics, influencing authentication, security, usability, sustainability and public trust.

Over two and a half days, delegates will hear 34 presentations across eight sessions, covering topics that include human-centred security design, public authentication, sustainability, feature and material integration, machine readability, emerging technologies and multidisciplinary collaboration. Through presentations, panel discussions and case studies, participants will examine how design can help secure documents remain effective against evolving threats while improving accessibility and user experience.
