Security and Authentication Lead Strong Quarter for Crane NXT

Crane NXT reported strong second-quarter results for 2026, supported by continued demand for security and authentication technologies. The company's Security and Authentication Technologies (SAT) business — which includes Crane Currency and Crane Authentication — remained a key growth driver.

The SAT business continued to lead the company's performance. Sales increased by 17.5% to $227 million for the current quarter ended 30 June, while organic sales grew by 9.6%. Crane NXT said the business benefited from continued high demand in the currency sector and that authentication performance was in line with expectations, with its currency backlog reaching a record level and bookings extending into 2028 (see also HOTN March 2026).

Revenue in the Detection and Traceability Technologies (DTT) segment reached $267 million, up 26.1% ($211 million in Q2 2025), primarily due to the integration of Antares Vision. Although organic sales declined 3.4% on lower hardware and vending equipment sales, adjusted EBITDA increased 19% to $70.4 million, supported by improved operating margins.
