Royal Joh Enschedé Enters New Phase

Royal Joh Enschedé, an Authentix company, is demonstrating its banknote print capability through two new commemorative polymer banknotes for the central banks of São Tomé and Príncipe and Samoa.

Within one month, the historic Dutch security printer has produced two commemorative polymer banknotes: a 50 dobras note for São Tomé and Príncipe, marking 50 years of independence, and a 100 tala note for Samoa, honouring the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II in what would have been her 100th year.

For a company like Enschedé, which was founded in 1703, banknote printing is familiar territory. But these two new banknote issues show how that capability can be applied since its acquisition by Authentix in 2023, bringing together secure print expertise, new substrates, advanced optical features and production capabilities.
