Medical students at Addenbrooke’s Hospital are the first in the world to train on the latest in mixed-reality holographic patients.

Holograms have been used, for some time, to aid medical and nursing students in learning medical procedures and studying anatomical structures. And now, tech giant Cisco has redeployed its Webex platform to further the use of holograms for medical applications.

In its predictions for continued growth for holography in 2022, the International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA) pointed to new applications for holography in medical imaging.
