Holography Takes Centre Stage on Lzzy Hale's New Explorer

Epiphone, the Gibson-owned guitar manufacturer, has partnered with Lzzy Hale, Grammy-winning frontwoman of rock band Halestorm and Gibson's first female brand ambassador, to launch the Lzzy Hale Explorer Custom featuring a striking Black Diamond Holographic Sparkle finish.

The new model places holographic-inspired visual effects at the centre of its design. Built around the classic Explorer body shape, the guitar uses a finish that creates shifting reflections and depth under stage lighting, giving the instrument a dynamic appearance that changes with movement and viewing angle. Combined with multi-ply binding and a mirror pickguard, the finish transforms the guitar into a highly visual stage instrument designed to stand out during live performances.

The launch is not the first time Hale has embraced the effect. In 2023, Gibson-owned Kramer introduced the Lzzy Hale Voyager, which also featured a Black Diamond Holographic Sparkle finish and used the optical appearance as a key element of the guitar's visual identity.
